Tarot

A deck of tarot cards is considered by most people to be just picture cards used covertly by questionable types to tell the future for their customers. I feel they are much more. Not only can they help one understand one’s life on a day to day basis but they also can give one a clearer philosophy towards their life.

The value of tarot is within the symbolism of the images themselves. Each symbol tells a story and can be a resource of unbound wisdom that weaves many stories. Using the cards on behalf of my clients, I can impart knowledge about their lives and the lives and experiences of people who matter to them.

I usually work with the Rider or Waite deck which was first published in 1910. I like this deck because the symbolism and imagery can be related to modern day life. Also, it has a balance, peace and comforting serenity about it.

As one studies the Tarot more, one can take the symbolism and use it as a tool to aide one’s perceptions around them and apply it to one’s life. As I’ve come to realize, it is not the events in one’s life that are important but how one handles these events. This realization is where the true power lies in relation to the evolution of a person’s spirituality.
